Ice Race - F.A.T. Zell am See
The Ice Race was cancelled in 2023 due to warm weather conditions but is back with a rebranding called "FAT International" for 2024. Back in the last century, the Ice Race was a historic race with daredevils on skis being towed by motorbikes and cars on a frozen Lake in Austria. In the early 1950s, racing was one of Austria's most popular pastimes, attracting thousands of fans every weekend. The races in Zell am See continued on into the 70s, when they had to be cancelled several times because the ice on the lake was too thin. After a fatal accident in 1974, the event was cancelled until it was reinvented again in 2019 under the name "GP Ice Race". Instead of the frozen lake, it is now held on the Zell am See airfield.
Today, the Ice Race in Zell am See is a winter festival celebrating motoring. The event includes different racing classes, the unique mixed class of Skijöring, and exhibitions of rare and exotic cars.

Concourso d'Elegenza Villa d'Este
The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is probably the most prestigious Classic Car Concours in Europe if not in the world. The quality of special and unique cars is on par with the Pebble Beach Concours in California which is widely considered the highlight of the year in the classic and vintage car world. But the Villa at lake Como doesn't have the vast golf lawn like Pebble Beach and is not as big as its American counterpart. The Concours limits the number of cars to only 50. Pebble features around 200 cars on display. This doesn't have to be a bad thing though because it gives you more time to closely inspect the cars and talk to the owners. Visitors can admire about 50 cars which are all built between the 1920s and the 1970s and are organized into different categories. Additionally, the event also features a super- and concept car category. EVC Experience Report

The event is considered fresh, modern and exciting that wants to bring together like-minded car enthusiasts. The event is organized by Larusmiani, a luxury Milan / Italian fashion brand founded in 1922 and led by the grandson of the founder Guglielmo Miani Sr. The day admission of €150 is still somewhat steep for a car event but on Sunday the 21st May, you can get free access from 18.00 to 20.00.
