This advertisement from the 1930’s demonstrates the aerodynamics of the Tatra 77 compared to other cars at the time. The Czechoslovakian automaker produced some of the most interesting cars and trucks of the industry’s first century. The Tatra 77 is widely considered to be the first serial-produced, truly aerodynamically-designed automobile. It was developed by two aerodynamic engineers and was launched in 1934. Even Jay Leno has a poster of the Tatra ad in his amazing classic car garage along with an original Tatra 87 which was the successor of the 77.
